Looks like the party will start this week. After 2Rodknocker and I have pumped iron all winter we should be like a couple of machines. A couple of hard bodied animals on the hunt!

I bet Rod gets some bullheads for us to try this fall. I'll be surprised if he doesn't. A friend of mine used mice for bass, but he had to make little PFD's out of foam to keep them from drowneding. Maybe rats would work for Muskies.

Life is looking up!

Got out for a few hours today and got to use the new MotorGuide DS. The difference in it and the Power Drive I had is like hot and cold. The DS has it all over the Power Drive. I got a couple of small ones today, but I wasn't having fun and left early. Maybe I have burned out.

The new MotoGuide came today and I can't wait to burn the Power Drive. Two handed stow and deploy, crappy foot control, cracked and split coil cord, and burned out circuit board. All this in four years and I troll a LOT. Yes, a big, hot fire will do.

The new MotorGuide is on the way! I am so happy to be rid of the junk Power Drive.

I saw Rodney cleaning the yard when I was comming home from church on the scooter. Out of the boat we live different lives, but when we are in the boat we become one with the Muskies. I never called HIM a fish hog when HE put fish in the boat and I didn't. I can't wait till HE puts fish in the boat and I don't so I can call HIM a fish hog. No, wait, that's not right!

One day closer to water that is cool enough to fish. The Mojo Tail needs to get wet. It's mojo is so strong that it caused Rodney to hang on a log so it could have Musky teeth!

I have good news! Today is not Thursday! Being retired does this to you. It won't be 98 till Friday. Seven miles to town and Rodney had the shop closed till three. Went to the cafe and had a Chili Dog. Went back to the shop after three and he was still not there. Did you ever notice that barbers never use a cashregister, but keep the money in a cigar box? Hmmmm!

Summer will never end! 98 forcast for tomorrow! I think I'll go hang at the barber shop and take Rodney the Super Secret Jointed Lure I made for him.

I have been thinking about letting Rod use the Mojo Tail this weekend. But, then again, I'm a FISH HOG! He said''Mike Benny"!

What a great day it turned out to be! We moved 18 fish in six and a half hours. Hooked three and boated two 39 inchers.

2:22 A.M., This isn't heaven, this sucks! I have not felt so much like not fishing since the last time it was this hot. I hope Rod gets one on the first cast so I can get back home where it is cool. Sometimes I wish I had a wife to tell me I can't go fishing. NOT!

Muskie fishing is over till fall for me and now it is time to ride the scoot. Started putting the Shovelhead bobber together to fit everything before painting. I wonder what other hobbies I could find to keep me broke? It could be worse, I could have a wife! Spent ten G's on my other Shovel last summer, but it sure is worth it to see the Evo and Twin Cam boys cry after I bust their balls.

I really want to tell that one guy on fishinfo.com what a stupid pissface he is! One of my goals for this year was to be more sociable, but I'm not doing very well at it. I just have to remember he is full of shit and an idiot.

Some guy wanted to know if Muskies eat Sheepshead. Yeh, and if they can't find a Sheepshead they will eat a Goat's butt! Now that's funny, I don't care who you are, that's funny. Rod, I have 5 Chili Dogs and two cans of Sardines ready to go for tomorrow. We are not going to catch a thing. Last time I thought we would get a few and we got skunked. This time I am thinking the opposite,so we will do good. I would like to get a few becouse I have eight 42 to 45.5 inchers on the film and am getting it developed this week, full or not. The problem with not taking pictures of the dinks under 40 is it takes longer to get a roll full. I'm ordering the Dig. this week. Maybe the GPS since Hantz is paying for the two weeks in Wisconsin. He is the Musky Jinx, he should pay.

I can't find my Flats Hat! This can only be the work of , The Master! The straw fedora should look rather tastefull. I feel the need to look into Rodney's mind.

It looks like I am going to Wisconsin again this fall to fish for crappie and Walleyes. I hate to miss two weeks of Musky fishing at Kinkaid, but Hantz is a friend and wants me to go. Friends are more important than fish. I am fishing Muskies the last five days. Since Hantz is paying for the whole trip I won't steal any of his stuff. It sure is fun messing with people's minds. I can't believe that Rod, Chad, or myself did not pop a hog this spring. I'm not going to complain becouse this was still a good spring with ten fish from 41.5 to 45.5, it's just frustrating to know they are there and not get one. It was really frustrating to have one hit and leave a monster scale on the hook.

It's nice to have someone to fish with that likes to joke around and not be serious all the time. Rodney loves it when I scream at people on jetskies and call them Piss Face. I wouldn't say it yesterday, but since he reads my blog I will make his day. YOU PISS FACE, PISS FACE, PISS FACE, PISS FACE! I know what you are thinking Rodney, "He said PISS FACE".

We got skunked today, but we didn't fish where the big fish live. We fished in their front yard. Just as well becouse when we took temperature readings at 10 ft. we found 80 deg. water. We should have gone to the other place, but I wanted to fish Kinkaid one more time.

It is almost over for us at Kinkaid. Rodney and I will fish Monday for what might be the last time till fall on Kinkaid. I have a lot of things I need to get done before we start again this fall, fix up pop's garage, build the other porch on my shack, get the Harley put together that is in pieces in my kitchen, get Channel Cat and gills in the freezer. I would like to get up to Boulder Junction for a week, but I don't think I will have the time. Mid September will be here real soon and then it starts all over again. It seems like yesterday when 2knockers and I were jigging Fuzzys in January. It sure was cold. Monday we will put a tanker in the bag. If all you want is a fish, fish where the numbers are. If you want a big fish, fish where the big fish live. I could care less about fish under 40 inches.

I don't know if I am getting burned out, or if it is the warm weather. I like to be out when my balls are clanging together like church bells becouse of the cold. A couple more weeks and we are done down here. Looks mighty slim to put a 50 in the bag this spring. It has been a good spring, exept fot the two weeks I lost when the wiring burned up in the boat. Don't eat urinal cakes, they don't taste like cake at all.

Fished from 6 till 2 today and got a 41.5 to get me off 13. 2Rodknocker was supposed to be out with the wife and kids, but I never saw them.

Skunked today! One fish on and lost her when she rolled on the surface. Only a 36 or 37 inch fish, but that leaves me stuck on 13. I know there are no unlucky numbers, but I got stuck on 13 last fall and went through a lot of lost fish before I got off 13.

I guess I'll have to fish tomorrow. That will be five days this week and I don't want to get bored with catching Muskies. The wind will be out of the north tomorrow and when it is out of the north I have to fish one spot that not only gives up a lot of fish, but a real tanker will come from there. Maybe the "Killing Fields" will be hot too.

I hope Rodney and I can subdue some of our mojo today. I feel good about nailing a big one today so long as our combined mojo does not overpower them. It is almost time to leave and I still haven't gotten a good dump in. Ah, I feel movement. Gotta go!

New line on reels, new leaders. Have two reels that need to go to the doctor, or I can make one good one from both. We will slay them tomorrow with the change in weather. Muskies......sometimes hard to find. Sometimes harder to catch. I'll have my 11 inch mojo tail working tomorrow.

The mojo might be gone from the mojo tail. It was still there yesterday when I got a fat 43, but today I did not even have a follow in nine hours. I hate to heve to fish again tomorrow, but my buddy Rodney needs to know what is going on for Sat., so I will. I can't believe the sacrifices we have to make for our friends. I hate jetskies more than beavers.

Rodney and I did not move a fish today. I think the problem is mojo related. Apart we catch fish, together we don't. I think our combined mojo creates a field that repels Muskies. They sense the danger lurking above them from two of the best Muskie sticks the world has ever seen. Muskies.... sometimes hard to find, sometimes harder to catch.

Wed. was good. The mojo lure came through again. I only have one, so I had better make a couple more. I saw 2Rodknocker eyeballing it last week. Mojo.... hard to define, harder to find. When you find it, use it till it's gone. The Musky Cat likes orange bucktail. Sometimes I wish we had a closed season so I wouldn't have to fish so much. NOT! Look mom, I'm a pirate! Am I the only one that wanted to see Sylvester eat that little gay bird? I wish geese ate beavers. I hate beavers.

Looks like Wed. before I get to the lake again. I have 20 lures to paint tomorrow, but they will have to wait til the weekend to get cleared. Yeh Rodney, next week you get to pick what you want from the colors I put on. I think you will like the Bleeding Shad. Do you want one in PT's Titty Dancer? If you do let me know by the afternoon. I have to get to the city and get some fittings to mount the fuel/moister separator.

I'm feeling a little blogy tonight. I wanted to fish today, but being the responsable person I am, I stayed home and finished 2Rodknocker's lures, and several of my own. Mice are good Muskie bait, but if you don't put little P.F.D.'s on them they drowned really fast. Say goodnight Gracey. Good night.

I'll be back on the water next week. The fire took a lot more wiring out than I thought, and also the battery switch. If the weather does what is forcast for the next ten days it should be killer fishing and then the spawn. I have onehundred plugs to paint, but that won't get done till the spawn slow down. 2Rodknocker still has not told me what colors he wants, so I'll do his in City Cop, black and white. He is so good that color has no affect on the fish.

I have filed my report of todays action and have reqested an air strike on the Gook village that I recieved fire from. It is reported as friendly, but Charlie has control.

Great day on the water! The boat cought on fire at the ramp! Maybe this is why I fish for gills and crappie in the spring and don;t get turned on to Muskies till May. Try reading the directions on the fire extinguisher while your boat is burning right by the gas tank. I thought all you had to do was pull the pin and sqeeze the handle, NOT! I'm really thinking about a sex change.

I was up till 1:30 finishing casting lures and now I have to go fishing. 27 degrees, so I am in no rush to get to the lake. Won't be long before I set camp up and can spend a few days a week at the lake. Sure is nice to not work and have no wife! Life is good.

I used a different brand of Micro Balloons in my plastic mix and it changed everything. I cut back 33% and my lures are still 11 grams light. I got the Musky Cat a new toy today and he has had a ball with it. I need some junk food, but I don't want to drive 7 miles into town. I ate some turtle last night, thought I was out, but I found some in the freezer. I need to get a couple of Coons before long.

I was having fun today until Rodney verbally abused me just becouse I had to net his fish twice. I wanted to fish tomorrow, but now I need to see my shrink. I will hear his voice in my sleep," That was the worst job of netting a fish I have ever seen!" I'm deeply hurt and need a hug.

Got a order today and the 145ft. of .051 wire busted the box and 100 splitrings and some diving lips were missing. I have got to get these lures made so I can get on the water next week. I have to go to the strip pits to test lures becouse the water is mudded up at Kinkaid. I never can take the time to really test lures when I am there anyway becouse I might be missing a Musky. Why do we put deoderant under our arms, but not in our butt crack?

I was really kicken yesterday becouse I wasn't on the water, but Chad did not hit a fish so I am glad I stayed home and got some things done. The water needs to warm to fifty before things get going, but we have not had warm enough nights. The weather does not look good for the comming week so I will keep working on lures. In should have onehundred done in two weeks. Sounds like a lot, but eighty of them are for me. Trolling sure takes a lot of lures when you can run six rods with two people. I think the Fire Tiger Harley will look good. Got to get going up to Pop's. We hang on Saturdays. Pop is 89 and I would like to get him on a Musky.

Soon the new Paache Airbrush will go into action. There will be flames on the side of a Grandma! Oh yes, there will be flames. Hey! How about if I paint the Harley I'm building Fire Tiger? I bet some fisherman dude would pay big bucks for it. Sweet Lisa hasn't come up with the money for it, so I am selling it to who has the jack. Yeh, sure! You think this is easy, try it sometime! I finally have my mix down. Now if I can get $100.00 per lure I can get my money back! The people at the Drug Store in town probobly think I have a Meth Lab out here in the country, but I tell them I am picking stuff up for 2Rodknocker. My dad was a chemist and he would bring me home stuff to make Black Powder and send me out to the shed. I wonder why he did that?

I have decided to stay off the water until I get some things done around the house. I parked the boat and unhooked her from the gasoline powered towing device this mornig. I started by cleaning the kitchen table off. It was like a treasure hunt, man did I find some cool things! The farther down I went, the better it got. Two coats, three shirts, my Jims parts book, two Harley speedometers, one tach, nuts and bolts(some chrome), piston rings, files, three lures, oil pump fittings, duct tape, an empty pack of 57 bulbs that was to remind me to get some, a bunch of ink pens and #3 pencils, two mouse traps with no dead mice, screw drivers, drill bits, a utility knife, a countershaft sprocket, rubber bands, about $15.00 in change, a lot of phone numbers with no names. Those are always fun to find becouse I get to dall people and find out who they are! I called one and asked who I was talking to and the guy said it was my oldest boy. I have been meaning to call him. He is a lot like his Paw, spent the winter living in a teepee he made and lived on wild game and trapped. You should see that boy skin a coon! The best news is I did not find any old bills. The UPS dude should be bringing my plastic casting stuff today and now I have room to cast lures. I found some new water based auto paints that I am going to try on the lures. If they work I sure am going to miss the high I got from the old paints. I have got to get Sweet Lisa's Harley finished and get it out of the kitchen. Why do people get turned off when they think about eating a cat? That is some of the best meat there is. Muskrat is way better than rabbit.

Not only did I not get a tanker, I didn't even get a P.T. Boat! Cannonballs down from 15 to 30 ft., out rod at 10 to 15. Casted 1 to 15, then trolled shallow shortlines. Maybe I should have fished the dead weeds like some others were doing. Has that thing about dead weeds been a lie? Why do little boats make such big wakes? If I had someone with me I would have talked about sex. That makes crappie bite. I did think about the time Farout was naked on all fours with the Sea Tutle shell on and a pair of burning goggles, saying Snaper! Snapper! It didn't help. I had fun and that is what counts. I have gone four days without boating one. I have not done that since the first year I fished for Muskies. If I had not lost the one I had on four trips ago it would be three and that sounds better. Hold me Slamr! The good news is I was sociable today and had a nice talk with some bass fishermen. Doc will be proud of me! He said that if I stay on my Meds. I can make the rest of my parole and get off paper. No, wait, Viana has a great fishing lake and if someone put some fingerlings in some socks and brought them to me I could stock it with Musies! By the time I would get out they would be huge! More great news. The gass station at Ava is open. Now I can stop on the way home from the lake and get some of those round things with holes in them and eat them on the way home. I can even get some of that white liquid they get from cows and submers them. Isn't life great, now let's get that big one. Later

6:43 A.M., 28 degs., a little fog. The Musky Cat got me up at 4:30. I really don't need to go to the lake , but I need to see how some new lures are going to work. I'm building a Harley for someone and I need to get the frame painted and do the tranny so I can start putting it together instead of fishing. I still have parts laying on the kitchen table from fall. In fact the whole bike is scattered around the kitchen. Good thing I have an old farmhouse with a big kitchen. Why is it that when I have multiple fish days I think I'm good and when I only get one I think I'm lucky? The days I don't get one it is the fish, or the weather. I don't think I'll get anything today, but it only takes one. I just like being on the water. Why do calenders have to change every year? How long will it take before the 2001 I still have hanging on the wall will be right again? Why don't we still call lures plugs? Is "Tadpole" Tommy still alive?

We know that there are some tankers in Kinkaid, but they have not been caught. Well, they have not been boated. A 52 was shocked this fall and another one that was much larger could not be netted. Time for someone to cap one of these 40lb.+ fish. I have done very little Musky fishing for the last two and a half years for a number of reasons, but the lack of having fun was the prime reason. It started to be one of those things where this guy said this about you, and he screwed me. It was like choosing up sides to smell armpits. I have avoided posting on places like this to avoid that sort of thing, but as long as I don't go there, it won't get on me! I just want to thank 2Rodknocker for playing a part in getting me back and GregM for sending me some information. I have a new attitude and one of my goals for the year is to be more sociable.
